About My Seasoned Travels

There are a lot of travel blogs out there, you are probably wondering what's different about mine.

I'm not a full-time travel blogger, I don't get paid to post. Hey I'm not ruling it out in the future, but for the time being I hold down a Corporate job by day, travel by weekend, and travel blog by evening.

I believe that travelling is the most character-building thing you can do. Travel challenges you to get outside your comfort zone, and it opens up your eyes, mind and heart. By exploring different landscapes, cultures, and cuisines we have the chance to grow as a person, and at the same time gain a clearer sense of who we really are.

The purpose of this blog is to show you that anyone can travel - you don't need to quit your job, you don't need to be rich, you don't need one million Facebook fans, hell - you don't even need to live overseas! All you need is weekends, public holidays, and a sense of adventure.

About Me

Where do you live now?
Paris, France (Rive Gauche, dahhhling)

Where are you from originally?
I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. No, that is not in Sydney.

Why did you leave Australia?
I first left my home shores in 2013, when I was offered a job at the headquarters of the company I work for, which is situated in Munich, Germany.

In 2015 I started to get itchy feet, but before I could plot my next move I was offered another job (with the same company) in Paris. I have been living there since June 2016.

Don't you miss Australia?
Oh sure, every day! But for the time being, at least I'm happy to stay in Europe as long as I can. Australia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but it also one of the most isolated (geographically, chronologically, politically) so I get the feeling that when I do go back, it will be for good.

Therefore I will keep riding the wind until it blows me home.

Which do you prefer, France or Germany?
Tough question! But maybe some day I will write a blog about it..!

Where to next?
Who knows! If someone had've asked me the same question a year ago, I would never have said Paris! That said, I have always wanted to live in London, and it does seem to be the direction the wind is blowing me...
